MCSO: 1 killed in fiery crash near I-10 in Buckeye

BUCKEYE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Authorities say one person is dead following a fiery crash near Interstate 10 in Buckeye.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on Watson Road, north of I-10 in Buckeye on Wednesday morning.

MCSO says the vehicle caught fire during the crash and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the vehicle was not seriously injured.

Watson Road will be restricted for several hours.
