Phoenix FD: Man suffers third-degree burns in house fire, CPS contacted

PHOENIX - A valley father was burned in a house fire on Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to a burning home near Oak and 24th Street a little after 6am on Saturday.

When they arrived, they found a man suffering third degree burns. His girlfriend was not hurt, and one child was in the home but also escaped without injury. According to Capt. Larry Subervi, the Department of Child Services has been contacted to investigate.

Firefighters say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
