Phoenix Fire: Three rescued from canal

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Fire officials say no one suffered any injuries, after three people, including two Phoenix Police officers, were rescued from a canal Wednesday evening.

According to a brief statement, the incident happened in the area of 12th Street and Orangewood Avenue. Fire crews were called out to the scene, and when crews arrived, they found a car in the canal, with two Phoenix Police officers trying to rescue the car's driver.

The cause of the accident, according to Phoenix Fire officials, is still under investigation. However, Phoenix Police officials say the driver is displaying signs of impairment.
