A man has died following a shooting between both DPS and Phoenix Police near 19th Avenue and Durango Friday night.
PHOENIX - A man has died following a shooting involving Phoenix Police officers Friday night near I-17, the department said.
What we know:
The Feb. 27 shooting happened near 19th Avenue and Durango Street eastbound exit ramp at around 9:05 p.m.
The Department of Public Safety responded to the scene, and later called Phoenix Police after they "needed assistance." Officials said both DPS and police were involved in the shooting.
Authorities said the man died after he was struck by gunfire.
What we don't know:
The suspect's identity, and the events leading up to the incident, were not made known.
It is unclear if any officers were injured.
