Police investigating social media threat towards Desert Vista High School

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police are investigating a social media threat made towards Desert Vista High School.

According to Sgt. Vince Lewis with the Phoenix Police Department, police began investigating the threat on Monday morning after it was shared and reposted on social media.

At this time, police say the threat has not been substantiated and the investigation is ongoing.

According to the Tempe Union High School District, the school is operating on a normal schedule on Monday and parents are asked to not come to the school to take their child out of class.
