Prescott Valley Police: Child arrested for making terrorism threat towards school

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Officials with the Prescott Valley Police Department said Tuesday a 12-year-old has been arrested, in connection with a school threat incident that took place on Monday.

According to a statement released late Tuesday afternoon, the suspect, who is a student at Granville Elementary School, was booked into the Yavapai County Juvenile Detention Facility for a count of making terrorism threats, and two counts of threatening and intimidating.

The 12-year-old, according to police, is accused of saying he would bring a firearm to school and become a school shooter, killing people. The 12-year-old was arrested after Prescott Valley Police responded to the school.
