Tuba City man convicted in death of 10-week-old daughter

PHOENIX (AP) - A Tuba City man has been convicted in the death of his infant daughter and could be facing life in prison.

Federal prosecutors announced Wednesday that 30-year-old Ken Jermaine Fowler was found guilty by a jury of involuntary manslaughter and assault resulting in serious bodily injury of a minor.

Fowler was remanded into custody after his trial and sentencing is set for June 29.

Prosecutors say Fowler assaulted the 10-week-old infant on the Navajo Nation reservation while she was alone in his care.

They say the assault caused a massive brain injury that resulted in her death four days later.

Fowler was remanded into custody after trial and sentencing is set for June 29.

Prosecutors say Fowler is facing a sentence of anywhere from 10 years to life in prison.
