Rest in peace, Tako: OdySea's resident Giant Pacific octopus dies

The beloved Giant Pacific octopus, Tako, at OdySea Aquarium in Scottsdale has died. Tako joined the aquarium in 2020, teaching thousands of people, the short but fascinating life cycle of an octopus. Back in June, Tako had entered the final stage of her life known as "senescence, a process where a female octopus stops eating and starts laying eggs before passing away.
