'East Desert Fire' burning near Cave Creek grows to 1,500 acres; now 50 percent contained

The "East Desert Fire" is burning near 24th Street and Desert Hills Drive, four miles north of Cave Creek Regional Park.�The fire started Sunday afternoon, and as of Tuesday morning, it burned 1,500 acres of land. It is 50% contained.
