CHANDLER, Ariz. - Ray Road is shut down in both directions around Arrowhead Drive after a a car hit a pedestrian Thursday morning, Chandler police say.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital and was later pronounced dead, police say.
Police say neither speed nor impairment were factors in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
