SURPRISE, Ariz. - Surprise Police have released video showing the moments leading up to an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead.
The shooting happened at around 3 a.m. on March 10, when officers responded to the area of Waddell and Dysart Roads. According to a statement released by Surprise Police, officers responded to the area following a call that involved a "reported argument between a husband and wife who live at the home."
"Two Surprise police officers responded. As one of the officers entered the home, the adult female ran outside," read a portion of the statement.
Police say they were then confronted by a man, identified as 44-year-old Trinidad Ledesma.

Ledesma, investigators say, was armed with a shotgun, and that was when the officer-involved shooting happened.
"The Buckeye Police Department will investigate this incident as part of the West Valley Investigative Response Team protocols," Surprise PD said, in an earlier statement.
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office is investigating the shooting.
