It was a warm end to the weekend with record-breaking temperatures.

Sunday:

Phoenix Sky Harbor hit a high of 81 degrees, breaking our 2024 record of 79 degrees. Tonight, temperatures in the Valley will be in the 40s and 50s.

This Week:

Monday and Tuesday could be close to breaking records before cooler and wetter weather arrives.

It will be dry and warm for the start of Christmas week, with rain still on track to arrive on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Light rain chances now look to arrive on Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning.

An additional widespread band of rain arrives late Wednesday into early Christmas morning. Some storms northwest of the Valley could produce isolated thunderstorms.

Temperatures will cool back into the 70s with above average readings remaining in the forecast.

Snow in the High Country?:

Weather in the High Country will also be cooler with strong winds, rain and mountain snow possible.
