Cleanups continue after more storms roll through valley

A thunderstorm rolled into the valley on Friday night, leaving behind damage and power outages on Saturday.

Rain came down in sheets, with flooding reported near South Mountain. Flooding was also reported along I-17 near Cordes Junction.

A lot of trees came down in the Scottsdale and central Phoenix area. A light pole and a tree came crashing down near 78th Street and McDowell overnight. No injuries were reported.

Other power lines and poles were also down in the area of Invergordon and Camelback. As many as 25,000 people lost power at the height of Friday night's storm. On Saturday, hundreds in Buckeye remained without any power, and a cooling station was set up by the Red Cross at Buckeye Union High School. Nine people spent the night there on Saturday evening.

New storms rolled into the Scottsdale area on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, at least 4000 people were without any power in Scottsdale due to a damaged electrical line. In Buckeye, less than 100 people remain without any power on Sunday morning.
