PHOENIX - McDowell Road was shut down in both directions from 10th Street to 12th Street as Phoenix police investigate a crash that happened early Friday morning.
According to police, the driver of an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle. That driver, a 28-year-old male, was pronounced deceased on scene.
The 38-year-old female driver of the westbound vehicle was taken to an area hospital for evaluation.
"Speed does not appear to be a factor. The driver of the westbound vehicle was not impaired.," stated Phoenix Police Sgt. Alan Pfohl.
No names have been released in this case.
