PHOENIX (FOX 10) -- Phoenix Police officials say the suspects in the attack of an Uber Eats delivery driver in South Phoenix on the night of February 5 are now under arrest.
The incident, according to Sgt. Armando Carbajal, happened on the 2000 block of E. Baseline Road. The delivery driver was walking into a restaurant in the area to pick up an order when two adult men and one adult woman confronted the victim and demanded his car at gunpoint. The victim was hurt following a physical altercation, and the victim's car was stolen by the suspects, who then fled the scene.
In statements released on Wednesday, Phoenix Police Sergeant Armando M. Carbajal announced the adult suspect as 18-year-old Nehemiah Gee, who was arrested on February 7. Police did not release the name of the other suspect, who is only identified as a 13-year-old girl. She was arrested on Wednesday.
In court documents obtained by FOX 10, Gee is facing multiple charges, including shoplifting, robbery, theft of means of transportation, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, and 3rd-degree burglary. Besides the incident with the Uber Eats driver, Gee was also linked by Phoenix Police to a number of incidents along Baseline Road between January 16 to February 7. Bond is set at $75,000 for Gee.
