Police investigating social media threats aimed at valley high school

Phoenix police are investigating the possible threat that was made towards a 15-year-old high school student on Thursday.

Police say at 6:45 p.m., they were notified of the threat at Sandra Day O'Connor High School and learned that a 17-year-old had made threats towards their classmate. After being questioned by police, the 17-year-old was detained at the juvenile court center for threatening and intimidating.

Police also say the threat was posted on social media, which included threats specifically against the school.

The students' identifications are not being released at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
