Backpage: DOJ launches victim compensation site

The U.S. Department of Justice has launched a new website that aims to help compensate Backpage.com trafficking victims, in the largest effort of its kind. The website, which was shut down in 2018, was founded by Michael Lacey, who also founded the Phoenix New Times.
