PHOENIX - Mesa Fire says one person was taken to the hospital after a fire broke out an apartment.
Firefighters responded to the fire at an apartment complex near Southern Avenue and Alma School Road.
Fire officials say one apartment was on fire and one person was found lying in the front yard with burns. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The fire was quickly put out.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
