GLENDALE, Ariz. - A hit-and-run crash on Monday night in Glendale left a woman dead, and police are looking for the driver.
What we know:
The June 23 crash happened near 73rd Avenue and Bell Road around 8:45 p.m., Glendale Police said.
Investigators say the female victim was hit by an unknown driver and thrown several feet. She was taken to a hospital where she later died. On Tuesday, police identified her as 21-year-old Tony Marie Gonzales.
The unidentified driver fled the scene after the crash.
"We currently do not have a vehicle description. We are actively interviewing witnesses to try and get information about the driver who was involved in this incident," police said.
