In an interview last week, Vice President J.D. Vance told a conservative podcaster that he believes UFOs are demons.

Vance appeared on the Benny Johnson Show and spoke on a number of topics in the Executive Vice-President’s office at the White House.

In the light-hearted interview, Vance said that he was initially obsessed with "UFO files" and has a natural curiosity about the subject.

After the initial remark of saying he believes "they’re demons", he provided a further explanation when prompted, describing the desire to label otherworldly celestial beings as aliens.

What they're saying:

"I don’t think they’re aliens, I think they’re demons," he said in the interview. "When I hear about extra natural phenomenon, that’s where I go: The Christian understanding that there’s a lot of good out there, but there’s also evil out there," Vance said. "I think that one of the devil’s great is to convince people that he never existed."

Vance says he hopes to have access to documents regarding unidentified flying objects and extra-terrestrial beings at some point over the next three years.
