California Cade Electronic Finger Lights (CPSC)
Federal regulators have recalled nearly 180,000 children’s finger light toys sold on Amazon because the button cell batteries in them can be easily ingested by children and cause serious injuries and death.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall involves California Cade Electronic Finger Lights.
Why are children’s light toys being recalled?

The CPSC says the lights, which come in 50 pieces in white, blue, red and green, violate the mandatory safety standards for toys because the batteries are easily accessible to children.
"If button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death," the CPSC says in its recall notice.

The finger lights have "California Cade Electronic" and "Finger Flashlights" printed on the front of the package. They were sold on Amazon from March 2015 through July 2026 for between $5 and $16.
No injuries or incidents have been reported.
What you can do:
Consumers should stop using the recalled toys immediately. The CPSC says to take them away from children and contact Cade California Electronic for a full refund. You’ll be asked to properly dispose of the finger lights into the trash and send a photo of the disposed product to ccecamazonservice@gmail.com.

The CPSC notes that button cell batteries are hazardous. Batteries should be disposed of or recycled according to local battery recycling guidelines.
