PRESCOTT, Ariz. (KSAZ) - While rain hit the Valley over the weekend, Arizona's high country was blanketed in snow and left many excited for a white Christmas.
In Prescott alone, eight inches of snow fell over the weekend. On Monday, temperatures reached 22°F (approximately -5.55°C) during a part of the day.
People in Prescott mostly stayed inside, except for those walking their dogs.
"You have to five him a walk every morning," said resident Jerry Wiegert. "Oh, he drives me nuts until he gets a walk in the morning."
On the topic of dogs, many of them didn't seem to mind the snowy weather. Their owners, however, are a different story. With many visiting from California, they are not quite used to the snow.
"He might never have even seen snow before, so this is a big thing for him," said one dog owner.
