Nineteen people were injured in a stampede during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 24, while attending an annual motorcycle event in Atlantic Beach, South Carolina.

Home security video captured by Amanda Henry shows the moment attendees began running shortly after 1 a.m.

What they're saying:

"The situation appears to have been triggered when an individual began running, causing a brief chain reaction within the crowd that lasted only seconds," local news reports quoted city officials as saying. "At no time were there any confirmed fights, weapons, or direct threats to public safety."

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, 19 people were found and treated for injuries, none of which were considered life-threatening.`
