PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A woman who crashed her car through a Sky Harbor Airport security gate and drove onto a runway with her baby in the car will not serve any jail time.
Koko Nicole Anderson pleaded no contest to a child abuse charge for crashing through the gate. She will be placed on probation, attend parenting classes, and undergo mental health treatment and monitoring.
Anderson says she is bi-polar and was not taking her medication because she was breastfeeding when the incident happened in 2012.
UPDATE: In January 2020, the Superior Court stated that Anderson completed probation.
