PHOENIX (AP) - Authorities say a Phoenix-area police officer who was shot while on duty earlier this month has been released from the hospital.
Authorities say Glendale Police Sgt. Robert "Kent" Livingston was released last weekend after being in the hospital for two weeks, primarily in the intensive care unit.
Glendale police say Livingston is still recovering and continues to receive daily medical treatment.
Authorities say Livingston was shot during a gunfire exchange with 44-year-old Stephen Hudak, who was wanted on multiple felony warrants.
Authorities say Hudak shot Livingston while fleeing from police on March 2. Police later fatally shot Hudak during another gunfire exchange.
