New MCSO sheriff gives update on deadly hit-and-run

Lisa Mancuso, 42, was running near 7th Avenue and Cloud Road in New River when she was hit by a truck. Mancuso later died at the hospital. The driver fled the scene after the collision. Newly-appointed Maricopa County Sheriff Russ Skinner says the truck is registered to a member of law enforcement. Skinner says the owner has been cooperative, but no arrests have been made. "What people need to understand is that we get enough evidence and process that evidence and work with the county attorney to have a conviction," Skinner said. "It's not about an arrest, it's about the conviction."
