Evening Weather Forecast - 8/5/25

We're experiencing a scorching hot stretch of temps this week.

Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect across the deserts and mountains of southern Arizona until Friday, as temperatures soar to around 105 to 118 degrees.

What we know:

Mohave County, including the Colorado River Valley, will be under a warning from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Spots along the Mogollon Rim, like Payson, Strawberry, Camp Verde and Cottonwood will be added to the warning from 12 p.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Friday.

Why you should care:

It is important to heed the warnings, because heat exhaustion and heat stroke can impact you when you least expect it, and even if you think you are prepared.

Tomorrow:

Record high and low temperatures are expected on Wednesday and Thursday across the state.

The Valley will fall to around 90 degrees by Wednesday morning, and climb back to 116 degrees by Wednesday afternoon.

Rest Of The Week:

Thursday morning will be around 91 degrees, with a daytime high of 117 degrees. Temperatures will start to cool down a bit this weekend and next week.

Winds will stay breezy each afternoon through Saturday, calming more Sunday through early next week. Daily isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected along the Rim, White Mountains and even southeast AZ on Wednesday through the weekend.

The wettest days look to be Saturday and Sunday. The Valley will likely stay dry, but there could be an overnight shower with gusty winds on Wednesday night.
