Amy Van Dyken-Rouen says she was humiliated by TSA
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Amy Van Dyken-Rouen is speaking out after she claimed she was humiliated by TSA agents during a pat down over the weekend at a Denver Airport.
Van Dyken-Rouen took to social media on Sunday posting about the experience.
The Olympic gold medal winning swimmer says she was forced to go through a full body search after an initial search by an agent.
On Tuesday the head of the TSA in Denver called Van Dyken-Rouen and apologized for the incident. He said the agents there will receive more training.
The TSA also issued a statement saying that officers "did not follow the correct screening protocols."
