18-year-old reportedly steals mom’s car, leads DPS on chase down I-10

Law enforcement were able to box in the stolen car on the I-10 near 107th Avenue in Avondale.

Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say a man is in custody, following a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle on a portion of the I-10 on March 26.

SkyFOX was over the I-10 in the West Valley, as the chase came to an end.

According to officials, the suspect, 18-year-old Devyn Sells of Stockton, Calif., took a car from his mother. His mother knew where he was going, and alerted authorities.

Sells, according to DPS officials, is accused of theft of means of transportation and reckless driving.

DPS pursuit of stolen vehicle ends on I-10 in the West Valley

Traffic was stopped at Interstate 10 eastbound before 107th Avenue near Buckeye. The Dept. of Public Safety says the car was stolen in California. No details have been released about the suspect, who is now in custody. [No audio on SkyFOX helicopter feed video]
