Firefighters battle 1st-alarm fire at abandoned apartment complex

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Firefighters are battling a first-alarm fire at an abandoned apartment complex in Phoenix.

According to Capt. Jake Van Hook with the Phoenix Fire Department, the fire is near 32nd Street and McDowell and it has spread to the apartment complex from a nearby shed.

Firefighters are using a defensive strategy and fighting the fire from outside. There are no reports of anyone trapped inside or any injuries.
