Glendale police arrest alleged sexual predator
GLENDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police have arrested a man accused of committing sex crimes against women in Glendale dating back to 2014.
Glendale police say 18-year-old Dennis Moody was arrested on Tuesday in connection to an investigation that began after a woman was sexually assaulted in an apartment complex near 47th Avenue and Maryland on October 29, 2014.
In that incident, the victim told police she was walking through the apartment complex when a man approached her and asked for a cigarette. When the woman obliged, the man grabbed her from behind, held her by her hair and shoulders and sexually assaulted her. The victim called for help and the suspect ran off.
Investigators believe three other incidents in the area that happened between August 20 and 23 were related and committed by the same suspect.
During their investigation, a composite sketch of the suspect was created and based upon DNA evidence, Moody was arrested.
Police say Moody confessed to his involvement in all of the incidents, as well as a burglary on October 29, 2014.
Moody faces one count of sexual assault, burglary, and trafficking stolen property, as well as two counts of sexual abuse. He has been booked into jail.
