GILBERT, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities say a man has been arrested after a barricade situation in Gilbert.
Gilbert police say 47-year-old Vincent Hickey was taken into custody Friday.
Police say they received a call of a domestic violence situation around 9:20 a.m.
Officers say Hickey allegedly committed aggravated assault against his wife by pointing a gun at her.
She fled the home when police arrived.
Police say Hickey refused to come out of the house and it was believed he was still armed.
A SWAT team was activated and negotiated with Hickey until he surrendered.
Police say Hickey is being booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated assault/domestic violence.
It's not immediately clear if he has an attorney yet.
