OMAHA, Neb. - A Nebraska baby left an Omaha hospital with cheers and smiles after spending months undergoing cancer treatment.
The heartwarming moment was captured on camera.
The backstory:
Children’s Nebraska told Storyful that the baby, named Oakley, was diagnosed with congenital acute myeloid leukemia — a rare condition affecting just one in five million births.
Oakley underwent chemotherapy, surgery, and several other treatments.
After six months, she celebrated her "clap out," marking the completion of her cancer journey.
