PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Officials with Talking Stick Resort say the resort will remain closed through the month of September.
In a statement issued Friday, officials say the closure is prompted by ongoing repairs to the electrical power system, which was damaged during a powerful storm that resulted in massive flooding. At the time, officials said the flooding caused the resort's main generators and backup generators to malfunction.
Originally, officials said the resort was to remain closed until August 19. Officials also said the closure has afforded them the opportunity to refresh areas of the resort that has remain unchanged since it opened in 2010
