Prescott man charged with fatally shooting pregnant wife
PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) -- A Prescott man is facing two counts of murder after he allegedly shot and killed his pregnant wife.
Yavapai County sheriff's officials say Kenneth Blair was booked Saturday into Camp Verde Detention Center on two charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of Delissa Blair and their unborn child.
Deputies say Kenneth Blair reported around 5 a.m. that he had accidentally shot his wife after they fought over a handgun.
Responding deputies found Delissa Blair with a gunshot wound to the head.
She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Deputies say Kenneth Blair later admitted that he had shot the victim after becoming upset with her.
The couple's two children, ages 5 and 11, were home at the time but unharmed.
They are being assisted by state child welfare representatives.
