Scottsdale Police: Man arrested, admitted to murdering wife with a hammer

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- Scottsdale Police officials say a man has been arrested, following a homicide incident Friday evening.

According to a statement released by Sgt. Ben Hoster, the incident happened at a home near 77th Street and Balao. Jozef Miller, 72, called 911 at around 5:30 p.m. Friday, saying he killed his wife. When officers entered the home, they found a woman who had been beaten to death.

Police after investigation Miller admitted to killing his wife using a hammer.

Police say there is a history of domestic violence involving this couple in the past, and that the incident is an isolated one, and there is no further threat to the community.
