3 teens arrested in Scottsdale shooting

Three suspects were arrested in connection to a shooting last month at a bus stop near Scottsdale Road and Main Street that left a person injured.

Three people have been arrested in connection to a shooting at a Scottsdale bus stop that left a person hurt.

What we know:

The shooting happened on May 24 near Scottsdale Road and Main Street.

"A suspect assaulted the victim and fled out the bus door, followed by the victim. A second suspect shot the victim, and all three in the group fled the scene. The victim was treated at the hospital for a gunshot wound and was released," Scottsdale Police Sgt. Allison Sempsis said.

Investigators say the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation on the bus.

The police department released a photo of the three unidentified suspects, saying the male in the middle was the suspected shooter.

Police said two 16-year-olds were arrested on May 28. They were booked into jail and released.

The suspected shooter, a 17-year-old, was taken into custody on June 5.

He is accused of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.

Police say the Maricopa County Attorney's Office will determine if the 17-year-old suspect will be charged as an adult.
