Woman died after she was struck by traffic on US 60: DPS
GILBERT, Ariz. - Officials with DPS say a woman has died after she was struck by traffic along a portion of U.S. 60 in the East Valley on April 1.

According to a statement, the crash happened along the eastbound lanes of the U.S. 60, just west of Higley Road.

Officials say at around 9:02 a.m., a Jeep SUV rear-ended a commercial vehicle in the area.
"The female driver of the Jeep then pulls in front of the commercial vehicle. The female gets out of her vehicle and runs directly into traffic and is struck by a Dodge truck. She is later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Dodge truck, according to investigators, remained at the scene. There were no other injuries reported.
What we don't know:
DPS officials did not identify the woman who died, nor was the Dodge truck driver identified.
