Isabella Fredrickson
Isabella is excited to return to the Valley and join the FOX 10 team as a livestream journalist.
Before joining FOX 10, Isabella spent two years in Southern Arizona as a weather anchor and reporter for KVOA News 4 Tucson, where she covered everything from powerful monsoon storms and extreme heat to even snow. She is thrilled to be back in her favorite city in the Grand Canyon State and to step into a new role. Isabella hopes to bring her passion for storytelling and community engagement to the growing digital and streaming world of news.
Her connection to Phoenix began at 18 when she moved to the Valley of the Sun to attend Arizona State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and communications, along with a related focus in AAPI studies.
Isabella was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Her love for journalism and storytelling began early, watching the local news before and after school as a young girl. She went on to become head editor for her high school newspaper, freelance for her local town newspaper, and even write for The Seattle Times — Washington state’s largest and most-read newspaper.
Coming from a diverse background of Filipino, Norwegian, Danish, and Black heritage, Isabella deeply values representation and is committed to telling stories that reflect and uplift all communities.
A self-proclaimed "weather nerd," Isabella is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology through Mississippi State University, with the goal of becoming a certified meteorologist.
When she isn’t working or studying the weather, Isabella enjoys spending time with friends and staying active. She’s a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys refining her skills at the dojo, attending yoga or Pilates classes, or exploring the desert scenery on a hike (when it’s not too hot!). She also loves trying the newest restaurants in town and sharing her favorite finds on her food and travel blog, @_isabella_eats.
