Man shoots at SWAT vehicles during standoff: PD

Glendale Police say 34-year-old David McPherson was holed up in a home near 67th Avenue and Deer Valley Road. His girlfriend told 911 dispatchers that he made suicidal statements and had been depressed while battling cancer. When officers got to the home, McPherson allegedly pointed a gun at them. He later shot at SWAT team vehicles before being taken into custody.
