Lindsay Clancy trial jury deliberates as legal expert analyzes potential verdicts | FOX 10 Talks

Defense attorney Benjamin Taylor joined Ellen Mcnamara and Nicole Krasean to discuss ongoing jury deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. The jury consists of nine women and three men who are considering charges that include first-degree murder, manslaughter, or a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. Host Ellen Mcnamara interviewed Yates' defense attorney, George Parnham, who detailed Yates' severe mental illness and her current life at the Kerrville State Mental Hospital in Texas. Parnham recalled his initial meeting with Yates, describing her state of psychosis, and noted that her first conviction was overturned due to incorrect witness testimony regarding an episode of Law and Order.  The analysts highlighted how both high-profile cases have brought national attention to postpartum depression, maternal mental health issues, and insanity defenses. The panel also examined the impact of social media and online true-crime sleuths on public perception during modern high-profile trials. The jury in the Clancy case is scheduled to resume deliberations in the morning.
