1-year-old dies after being pulled from Peoria pool

PEORIA, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Police say a 1-year-old girl has died after she was found not breathing in a Peoria swimming pool.

The Peoria Police Department says the child died at the hospital after she was found unresponsive in a backyard swimming pool near 82nd Lane and Thunderbird on Friday morning.

The girl was pulled from the pool by a family member, who began providing life-saving measures to the child before police arrived.

Police say no arrests have been made at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
