Blustery weather greets Spring Training fans from back east

Baseball fans in town for spring training were hoping for sunny and warm weather, but on Monday, they were bundled up, as they cheered on their favorite Cactus League team.

The pitchers and catchers showed up on Monday, and plenty of fans from colder states were in town, but Arizona's trademark sunshine was kind of in and out for the occasion.

"I am a little bummed because I spoke to someone people last week it was 85 and sunny, so we packed for 85 and sunny we were going to hit the pool," said Pamela Menzel, who is visiting from New Jersey.

Pamela and her family admitted they were disappointed that this is the week Mother Nature decided to blow in unseasonably cool temperatures to the Valley, but said it is still better than their hometown.

Others who visited the Valley from New York also didn't expect a blustery cloudy day to kick off their spring training fun.
