The Food and Drug Administration said Gooder Foods, Inc. has issued a recall for some of its macaroni and cheese.

Dig deeper:

The company recalled five lots of its "Vegan Is Believin’ – Plant Based White Cheddar with Spirals" due to the possible presence of undeclared milk.

The company is also recalling three lots of "Here Comes Truffle – Creamy Truffle Flavored Cheddar and Shells" after discovering they may contain undeclared cashew.

The affected lots were manufactured between April 7 and April 15, 2025.

The backstory:

Consumers with allergies or severe sensitivities to milk or cashew face the risk of serious or potentially life-threatening reactions if they consume the recalled products.

The items were distributed nationwide to wholesale distributors, foodservice operators, and through online sales between April 29 and August 5, 2025. Lot codes and UPCs for the affected products are printed on the packaging, as shown in the accompanying images.

The problem came to light following consumer feedback. Gooder Foods is now recalling the impacted lots and alerting distributors, retailers, and customers. To date, six allergic reactions have been reported in connection with "Here Comes Truffle," and two reactions have been linked to "Vegan Is Believin’."

What you can do:

Individuals who believe they may be experiencing an allergic reaction are urged to seek medical attention immediately.

Consumers who purchased the recalled products should not eat them. The items may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund. For questions, customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, at 1-888-610-2341.
