Officials: Deadly ICE-involved shooting in Maine

One person is dead after a shooting involving ICE in Biddeford, according to media reports. Limited details were immediately available. 

An investigation is underway in Biddeford, Maine following a deadly shooting Monday morning involving U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE), according to Maine House Speaker Ryan Fecteau.

Fecteau posted about the incident on his personal Facebook page.

"Fellow Biddeford residents and Mainers, this morning a shooting occurred in Biddeford. A person was killed. ICE was involved. State Police and the Department of Public Safety are now on scene to gather details and would expect the FBI to investigate as well. These are the details that I have at this time. I will provide further updates, as they are relayed to me."

Biddeford is located 15 miles south of Portland.

ICE, the FBI and the Maine Department of Public Safety didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
