APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Authorities say a man has died following a shooting in Apache Junction near Signal Butte Road and University Drive.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, the man was taken transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound early Monday morning. He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
"Homicide Detectives assumed the investigation and are working on a suspect description," stated Sgt. Bryant Vanegas.
The victim's name has not been released.
