Officials close 2 boat ramps at Roosevelt Lake

Officials say Roosevelt Lake is only 44 percent full, which means the popular grapevine ramp is closed.

Both the grapevine ramp and schoolhouse boat ramp are closed due to the low levels. A sign warns boaters to launch at their own risk.

"Well it is kind of alarming, we came here from dry lakes and it awakens you to the problem. If we don't watch how we treat our earth we aren't going to have it for our future," said Sam Rodriguez.

Rocks show the low levels, where water used to be. It's almost like a giant bathtub ring.

For boaters there are other places to launch your boat, but the two ramps closed are unlikely to re-open until there is enough rainfall.
