Olmost The Weekend: Get some exercise and a few beers at the same time

MESA, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- If you're looking to get some exercise and have a few beers at the same time, we may have just the event for you. The 5th annual "Beer Mile" event at Brass Tap in Mesa is set to kick off this weekend, and all the money raised will go to a great cause.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation raises money for children of fallen operators to help pay for their education, their tuition, their books, and tutoring.

The race will begin at Brass Tap, between north Dobson and Alma School Roads.

"You start right here on our patio, you'll drink a beer, you'll run a quarter of a mile, which will be laid out in the parking area over here," said Jessie Row, the owner of Brass Tap.

You don't have to be a pro beer drinker to participate. The beer available will be from local brewers. The first person to complete the race will win the famous beer trophy.

It will cost you $20 to pre-register. For Vets, it's $15.
