Police: Suspect pinned Walmart worker against wall with scooter

Police in Tucson are searching for a disabled man who they say attempted to steal items from a Walmart store while riding a motorized scooter.

Deputies say on July 3, the Walmart staffer saw the man trying to leave the store on his scooter without paying for the merchandise in his shopping basket.

Take a look at the surveillance video: When another worked tried to stop him, the suspect pinned her against a wall with the scooter. With the help of two bystanders, the woman was able to free herself from the scooter.

The suspect then took off from the scene on the scooter and headed westbound on Valencia Road toward Cardinal Avenue.

Authorities say the man is also wanted in connection to a theft that occurred on July 2.

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair and mustache in his late 40s to early 50s. He was last seen wearing a red University of Arizona baseball hat, black v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans and running shoes. The scooter is gray and crutches were observed on it.
