The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is urging the public to check their freezers for dinosaur-shaped, ready-to-eat chicken nuggets sold at Walmart that may be contaminated with unsafe levels of lead.

What we know:

FSIS says the chicken nuggets were produced on Feb. 10, 2026 and are no longer available for purchase, but there is concern that consumers may have them in their freezers.

Dig deeper:

The recalled nuggets are 29-oz. plastic bags containing approx. 36 "Great Value fully cooked Dino Shaped chicken breast nuggets" with "Best if used by" date "FEB 10 2027," lot code" 0416DPO1215" and establishment number "P44164" printed on the back of the bag.

FISA says consumers who have the products are urged not to consume them, and they should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
